A survey conducted of a 25 per cent stratified sample of the University of Saskatchewan's teacher education program graduates, class of 1979, revealed an 85.7 per cent overall job success rate for those who actively sought employment as teachers. Statistics varied between Saskatchewan and other provinces, but the overall employment pattern for Canadian teachers proved to be equal to or better than that of the previous seven years.
