Participant Evaluation of the TIP College Readiness Program.
Levine, Daniel U.; And Others
Questionnaires on the quality of the College Readiness Program, an approach to encourage disadvantaged talented students to prepare for careers in the health field, were completed by 40 program graduates. Responses indicated that participants perceived the program as generally benificial in guiding them and perparing them for careers in the health sciences. Fifty-nine of 71 graduates were pursuing a career in health sciences or had been admitted to a health science study program. The College Readiness Program is part of a large effort with the overall objective of conducting programs to recruit, motivate, and support low income and miniority students interested in health science careers.
