Vocational Education Resource Diffusion. Final Report.
Rozman, Frank E.; Keyes, Erma D.
As part of a statewide, structured diffusion plan, inservice training sessions were held for teachers and administrators from many local schools to encourage use of V-TECS (Vocational-Technical Education Consortium of States) competency-based curriculum materials in local schools. Use of other recommended vocational education resources was also facilitated. Project activities focused on maintenance and extension of the 1977 statewide diffusion plan to demonstrate that structured diffusion fosters use of resources and reduces development costs of materials. As a result, sixty-three local schools submitted implementation plans to help teachers develop instructional programs based on V-TECS materials, and over 1900 copies of V-TECS catalogs were delivered to schools. Observation visits identified progress and problems encountered following diffusion efforts. (CP)
