An In-Depth Look At X-Rated Problems in Families With Service Needs. Workshop Proceedings.

The proceedings of a series of four full-day workshops held during May, 1979, by the Deinstitutionalization of Status Offenders Project of the Department of Children and Youth Services and the Connecticut Justice for Children Collaboration are presented. Areas of concern addressed by the workshops included the following: (1) adolescent sexuality--how much is too much? (2) incest as a family affair; ; (3) postitution: the pros and the conned; and (4) adolescent sexual behavior and implications for program development. The series was designed to delineate the problems encountered by families of youth who exhibit sexually acting out behavior, are involved in incestuous relationships, and/or have engaged in prostitution, as well as to develop the capacity of service providers to work with these youth and to facilitate resource--and resource- and information-sharing among participants.
