Anderson, Stephen C.; And Others
Module 4 of a seven module package for child protective service workers focuses on coordinating efforts of a parent aide program for abused and neglected children and their families with the Department of Human Resources. Five activities deal with the following aspects of the interface: (1) criteria for determining which cases are suitable for trained volunteers; (2) the case referral process; (3) policies relating to volunteers; (4) the importance of understanding the goals and operation of a volunteer program; and (5) development of forms for efficient recordkeeping. Included are directions for using the media package and questions for discussion. (SBH)
