The commission hears cases involving the issuance, continuance, suspension, revocation, or reinstatement of teachers' and administrators' certificates and makes recommendations to the Kansas State Board of Education regarding disposition of those cases. Part 1 of the paper contains definitions of options and alternatives relating to key points in the complaint process.
