Improving Vocational Education Evaluation. Case Studies of Four States.
Stevenson, Bill W.; And Others
This report is a case study of a technical evaluation assistance project in each of four states: Alabama, California, Colorado, and Maine. (The project activities in each state included the following: becoming acquainted with the vocational education delivery system and methods of evaluation; identifying problems associated with the evaluation effort; presenting the state with alternative solutions for each problem; and observing the implementation of the selected alternatives and results.) For each state the historical and contextual setting is presented as a background to the description of the particular vocational education system and the vocational evaluation system. The final section on each state contains an analysis of the problems in the state's evaluation system. (JH)
