Romanian Folk Dancing. Romanian Americans in Lake County, Indiana: An Ethnic Heritage Curriculum Project.
Bogolia, Kathleen M.; Leuca, Mary, Ed.
The booklet provides instructions for five Romanian folk dances. The dances include: the "Hora," one of the oldest, most widely known dances; the "Invirtita" and the "Hategana," Transylvanian celebration dances; the "Sirba," popular in all regions of Romania; and the "Caluserul" (the "Leaping Horse"), which dates back to the time when the Roman legions occupied Romania in the first and second centuries. A musical score accompanies the "Hora." (KC)
