Behavioral Self-Modification in Teacher Education.
Hall, W. Dianne
A mini-course was devised to aid physical education majors in modifying personal problem behaviors that could directly or indirectly have an impact on their teacher behavior. Relevant readings on the topics of behavior control and self-modification were provided. The subjects designed self-modification projects that involved the self-application of personally selected behavioral techniques after identifying specific goals. Emphasis was placed on teaching the participants broad-based behavior analysis skills that they could apply to a variety of problems. A table is included in this paper illustrating target behaviors selected, success in achieving goals, and participants' satisfaction with results. (JD)
