Presented are two sections dealing with the model: (1) Orientation; and (2) Content Specifications. The goal of the document is to characterize and integrate the systems complex of environmental education and teacher training. The document is intended as an orienting instrument for curriculum or program developers. Desired outcomes of this model are: (1) development of understanding of environmental education in teachers of grades 4-12 social science; and (2) development of their professional capabilities in devising instructional/learning arrangements which communicate a similar understanding to their students.
