This report evaluates the alcohol abuse prevention program's effectiveness in producing social change among Boys' Club participants. Concentrating on the program's second year, this paper presents summative evaluations for nine Boys' Club pilot sites. Each summation concentrates on the site's ability to implement model programs developed during the first year of the project and examines the impact the intervention effort had on participants in the program. Specific activities undertaken at each site to develop and/or implement the program are described. Sample data from surveys and interviews conducted by evaluators to assess the project's impact on participants are presented. Patterns among the project's participants and a control group are compared. The project's success in modifying the behavior and attitudes of participating youngsters are outlined and recommendations concerning the continuation and improvement of the program are listed. (EB)
