This course outline includes four conceptually independent units or modules of study: (1) Influence of Cultural and Social Factors on Perception: Implications for Education; (2) Understanding Indo-Chinese Culture; (3) Understanding Intercultural Relations in Schools; and (4) Designing Indo-Chinese Ethnic Studies. Each module is outlined and contains a description, rationale, performance objectives, prerequisite requirements, organizational topics, instructional methods, learning activities, resources, and evaluation methods/criteria. Sample handouts covering various aspects of Indo-Chinese culture and ample discussion topics are provided. Conceptual models for ethnic studies, training needs, a course syllabus, and an instructional module are illustrated. (EB)
