Central College Perspectives.
Knapp, Wesley L.; Hawkins, Calvin H.
Institutional data are presented which reflect five-year trends in the characteristics of Central College, a two-year institution established by members of the Free Methodist Church of North America in 1884. Data tables present a profile of the faculty with figures for 1972 through 1977 for the following: number and characteristics of full- and part-time teachers; faculty retention rates; salaries; and annual and departmental faculty-student ratios. Admissions and enrollments are summarized in terms of new student applications and admissions, 1972-1976; a five-year student enrollment profile; state or country of origin; number of students in campus residence halls; religious preferences; student retention rates; and student career choices. Additional tables summarize the following information related to the academic program: freshmen American College Testing (ACT) composite scores; class size summary; credit hours earned by instructional division; credit hours taught by full-time equivalent faculty; comparison of courses represented in the college catalog and in the class schedules; divisional enrollments; total graduates; and graduation summary comparisons. The following aspects of the college's financial resources are considered: institutional operations income and expenditures, annual balance sheet, endowment fund summary, student financial aid, annual charges to students, and annual fund gift income summary.
