The report presents evaluation data on the activities of the National Committee for Arts for the Handicapped (NCAH) during the 1977-78 school year. Status of NCAH objectives is detailed for four objectives (sample findings in parentheses): national awareness activities (formation of a National Arts Forum; development of a national training workshop for consumer organizations and agencies; and organization of a publication, film, and media resource library on arts for the handicapped); training and technical assistance (development of Arts for the Handicapped Resource and Information Network, and production of 14 publications on arts topics); research and curriculum development (development of an "Arts for Learning" curriculum guide); and model programs (descriptions of three model sites, requests for special projects, and a summary of participation in Very Special Arts Festivals). Among six recommendations made are for a national media program and for a computerized mailing list and label system. (CL)
