OD in Schools: The State of the Art. Vol. V: Implications for Policy, Research and Practice. Final Report.
Miles, Matthew B.; And Others
This is the last in a five-volume series concerned with organization development (OD) in the schools. First, along with discussing limitations of the sampling, it briefly summarizes conclusions from the review of the literature (volume 2), the study of consultants and the study of districts (volume 3), and the three case studies (volume 4). Second, it comments briefly on a working definition of OD in schools and sketches some of the issues that might be involved in its future as far as American and Canadian schools are concerned. Third, it offers advice on policy and practice to local school districts, intermediate units, universities, state departments of education, and federal agencies concerned with education. (Author/LD)
