Correct as of June 30, 1978, the 18th annual Arizona Tribal Directory is loosely organized in 3 broad categories--reservations, services, and Indian organizations--and contains listings relative to the Arizona Indian reservations and federal, state, and other agencies, departments, and committees which provide services to them. Reservation population and acreage figures are included. The listings for the 19 reservations include office information; tribal officers, council members, managers, and directors; meeting schedules; and election data. Governmental agencies, departments, and committees are organized by the type of service provided: Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), education, employment, health, law and order, public relations (press contacts), welfare, and miscellaneous. BIA Area Officers, Directors, Agencies, and Assistant Area Directors are listed for the Phoenix and Navajo Areas. The other service agency listings note the chief Indian associations, their boards of directors or officers, members, purpose, and meeting schedule. (SB)
