Principal quantitative findings on the health of Puerto Ricans in New York City are brought together in this monograph. The statistics provided refer to mortality, morbidity, services, manpower, and attitudes toward health services. In each of these areas, comparisons are made between Puerto Ricans and other racial/ethnic groups or the total population of the city. A number of recommendations are made for actions that should be taken by public or private agencies or elected officials to alleviate the conditions highlighted by the data presented.
