Project Leadership. Introductory Component.
Kipp, William P.; And Others
The mission of Project Leadership is to aid school administrators in the identification of their high priority goals and then to provide educational experiences geared toward the attainment of those goals for both the individual administrator and for others in the administrator's district. Subscribing school districts may enroll as few as one individual or as many as a team of from three to ten members. Each year participants attend two specially designed Project Workshops. Each workshop is scheduled for three days. Selected materials are disseminated at the workshop. First-year participants receive eighteen hours of basic skills training plus six hours of self-selected options. Second- and third-year participants pick and choose the most suitable alternatives. Participants are grouped into satellites for local followup workshops. Satellites are made up of districts located within reasonable proximity of each other. Participants are always encouraged to conduct followup action back in their district by serving as human resources and thereby extending the benefits of involvement in Project Leadership.
