A Guide to Understanding the Education for All Handicapped Children Act (P.L. 94-142).
This pamphlet, through questions and answers, provides information on the requirements of the Education for All Handicapped Children Act, referred to as P.L. 94-142. States receiving funds under this legislation must follow specific procedures for providing handicapped children a "free appropriate public education in the most appropriate least restrictive environment." The purpose of this pamphlet is to acquaint the reader with federal requirements only. Both state and local education agencies may have additional regulations related to the education of handicapped children. (Author)
