This presentation gives a general overview of the part-time student within the realm of the non-traditional student; provides a description of the Part-time Student Grant Program at Iowa State University; shares the results of a survey given to grant recipients; and provides recommendations for other institutions interested in similar innovative programs. Recommendations include ways to assess program need and goals; define funding requirements and locate sources for funds; and handle administrative responsibilities. (Author)
