The majority of evaluation reports abstracted in this document were completed by the Research and Evaluation Branch of the Department of Research, Evaluation, and Information Systems of the Dallas, Texas, Independent School District during the l976-77 school year. The abstracts were written to provide useful information to decision-makers and are divided into five volumes containing: (1) system-wide measurement results; (2) system-wide context evaluations; (3) testing applications, ad hoc research, context and input evaluations; (4) program evaluations; and (5) special project evaluations and applied research. The abstracts include a statement of evaluation purpose, sample, design, and results, as well as the names of evaluators and additional sources of information. Test items and limitations of the evaluation are also included in some abstracts. Extensive data tables are presented in the volumes. (JAC)
