Actions of the Maryland Council for Higher Education (MCHE) with respect to desegregation of public higher education, information concerning funds and personnel appropriated for the implementation of Maryland's desegregation plan, selected comparative data, and desegregation status by institution are reported. Among the MCHE desegregation activities summarized are: Other Race Grants Program for Graduate and Professional School Students; Minority/Other-Race Internship Program; Faculty and Administrator Exchange Program; Study of Retention and Progression of Full-Time, First Year Undergraduate Students by Race; Study of the Impact of the Academic Program Offerings on the Racial Composition of Student Enrollment; and Consortium for Inter-Institutional Programs.
