Racial Differences in Academic Achievement and Learner Self-Concept of School-Labeled EMR Students.

Twenty pairs of Black and White school-labeled educable mentally retarded students (10-12 years old) were matched for deviation social quotients to determine if differences existed in academic achievement and learner self concept on a racial basis. Analysis of scores on the Peabody Individual Achievement Test and The Florida Key revealed nonsignificant differences in achievement and learner self concept of the two groups. (Author)
