Searchlight: Relevant Resources in High Interest Areas. Counseling for Preretirement.

This paper provides an overview of the meaning of retirement (which is considered to be different for every individual); reviews some of the burgeoning literature on retirement issues; discusses briefly the content and approach in six major retirement planning programs; and presents trends in the field and their implications for the future. A computer search of six national data bases, yielding abstracts of 124 resources for preretirement counselors, is included. (Author/LFB)
