The Mutual Problems of Hawaiian-American Students and Public Schools. Technical Report #1.
Gallimore, Ronald; And Others
This report discusses the findings of an informal survey which examined variations from community to community in the perceptions of problems between Hawaiian-American students and the public schools. School personnel and community residents were interviewed throughout the State of Hawaii and numerous classrooms were observed. The results of this survey were then used to construct a conceptual model articulating problem clusters associated with communities varying in density of Hawaiian population and degree of urbanization.
