This annotated bibliography is a selected listing of reference materials for use by local government officials in the development of energy conservation programs. The references are listed under the agency through which they are available. Agency listings are alphabetized and include complete mailing addresses. There are 46 agency listings, many of which include several references. Each reference gives author, title, and publication date along with a four to five line annotation which describes the contents and possible uses of the reference. Some references also include number of pages, prices, and level (non-technical, semi-technical, technical). The variety of references cover such topics as solar heating and cooling, building design, planning, legal considerations in building and facility design, and energy conservation tips. Publications are written for hospital operators, architects, laypersons, planners, elected officials, and others. (MR)
