This guide contains learning activities in environmental education developed by teachers and intended for use at the elementary or junior high school levels. Topics covered include: water, esthetics, air, soil and sediment, solid waste, energy, noise, population, and transportation. Generally, each activity contains an introduction, a listing of materials, the statement of procedure, and several appropriate questions to ask the students. Activities are interdisciplinary and include pond studies, poetry writing, and art work. The appendix contains information about the development and writing of this curriculum guide. (MA)
