Short Term Objectives. (SCAT Project, Title VI-G).
Archer, Anita
Developed by the staff of the SCAT (Support, Competency-Assistance and Training) Project, the document deals with the third step of the systematic instructional model--sequencing short term objectives for exceptional students. The manual focuses on reviewing long term goals established by the child study team, converting these goals into long term objectives, establishing sequences of skills, and translating those skill steps into behavioral objectives. Sections cover the following areas related to short term objectives: purposes and outcomes, introduction, rationale, implementation, and frequently asked questions. Appended are sample forms for use in writing short term objectives and teacher-generated sample skill sequences for selected skills. (SBH)
