Etheridge, Bessie D.
A four-stage career development model is described encompassing career awareness in grades prekindergarten to 6; career survey, 7-8; career exploration, 9-10; and career preparation, 11-12. The model is based upon teacher commitment, administrator support, staff development, curriculm research and development, guidance, and community involvement. This project in the Washington, D.C., schools began in 1972 and ended in 1976. The appendix includes unclassified documentation for activities of the project concerning: management, guidance, staff development, Career Expo '75, the Parent Advisory Council, the Administrators' Seminar, activities in the schools, publicity in the public media, newsletters, correspondence, activities in non-project schools, and forms.
