Attitude Toward School [Questionnaire].
Purdue Univ., Lafayette, IN. Educational Research Center.
Two 45 item instruments designed to measure attitudes toward school are presented. In the first, for grades 1-3, the student answers yes or no to statements describing attitudes toward school. In the second, for grades 4-6, students respond to each item by marking responses ranging from strongly agree to strongly disagree on mark sense cards. For both instruments, the test administrator should be well acquainted with the direction procedures. Administration time for the first instrument ranges 20-30 minutes and 25-35 minutes for the second. The test yields subscale scores for general school attitudes, attitudes toward school work, and attitude toward teachers. Directions for test administration and a sample answer booklet are included.
