This document presents a summary of the activities of the Program and External Relations Commission of the United Nations in one session. The topics considered by the Commission in this paper include: (1) the possibility of the establishment of an International University; (2) possible international regulation on education for international understanding, cooperation, and peace; (3) possibilities of setting up a voluntary fund for the promotion of research and of the application of modern technology to education in developing countries; (4) possible international regulation on the status of scientific research workers; and (5) possible revision of the recommendation concerning technical and vocational education.
