RFD--The First Year. Part I.
Wisconsin Univ., Madison. Univ. Extension.
The first year of RFD, a new mass media approach to reaching rural adults in their own home, was devoted to planning and preparation. The design, consisting of a unique new television series, specially prepared and selected home-study materials, and a home visit program by adult basic education para-professionals, is complete. During the project year RFD produced seven pilot television programs, designed preliminary content materials, created the evaluation system, evaluated and selected existing published content and curriculum materials, established a materials center and resource bank, prepared the promotion and publicity design, and completed selection of the RFD operating staff. All first year goals established in the original proposal were met or surpassed. (Author)
