The Taxir Primer.
Brill, R. C.
Taxir is an information storage and retrieval system designed for general use on electronic computing machines. The system is based on some simple notions in set theory which permit the data to be stored in a highly compressed form and rapidly retrieved by calculation rather than by the traditional comparison search. This technique results in significant savings in both machine storage space and machine execution time. This primer explains the Taxir system in detail from a user's point of view and assumes that the reader has no knowledge of mathematics or computers. (Author/CP)
