This report presents the proceedings of the 1971 annual meeting of the Western Association of Graduate Schools. The first general session of the meeting presented speeches and a discussion of the legal aspects of graduate education. The second session speakers concentrated on the topic of the graduate teaching assistants with regard to training programs, preparation, and views. The third session dealt with the future directions that graduate schools will be taking, and the fourth and final session was a business meeting where new officers were elected and various resolutions made.
