Needs and Concerns for Special Education in Oregon.
Fredericks, H. D. Bud; And Others
Reported are results of a needs assessment study of handicapped children in Oregon undertaken to provide the Oregon State Department of Education with information concerning the most pressing educational needs within each handicapping group as defined by state law. Needs are summarized for each handicapping category, and across handicapping conditions by subject area (personnel, students, present services, interagency cooperation, administrative considerations, research, evaluation, and parents). The major portion of the document consists of the different questionnaires used in interviewing administrators, teachers, professors, parents, special interest group members, and other opinion leaders in the state.
