This literature review attempts to ascertain the relationship between educational outcomes and class size in elementary and secondary schools. Material analyzed includes individual research studies available in periodicals, monographs, doctoral dissertations, and research reports. Other reviews, literature analyses, and research related to class size were also consulted. This report analyzes, condenses, and summarizes this extensive mass of literature and addressess itself to those responsible for formulating policy on class size within school districts. (Author/MLF)
