This report to the President recommends the organizational restructuring and redefining of the responsibilities of the following regulatory agencies: Interstate Commerce Commission, Civil Aeronautics Board, Federal Maritime Commission, Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Federal Power Commission. Prepared by the President's Advisory Council on Executive Organization, the report emphasizes that the national economy involves an increasingly interrelated set of activities demanding a great degree of coordination, consistency of policy, and cooperation between the public and private sector of our economy.
