International Environmental Action: A Global Survey.
Wilson, Thomas W., Jr.
Government and non-government institutions in the United States and abroad, involved in environmental health activities, are summarized in this book. Information was obtained from a 1970 survey conducted by the Aspen Institute of Humanistic Studies and the Anderson Foundation. It provides an assessment of world-wide response to the crisis of the environment, from political, legal, social, and economic standpoints. Included are actions, reactions, national and international plans, and case studies of what is being done on state and local levels. More than half of the book is devoted to an index of key environmental health documents and a 60-page annotated bibliography of literature pertaining to the environment. (BL)
