The scope of these recommended standards for policy and provision of school library resource centers in Great Britain encompass the following six areas: (1) scope and arrangement of the memorandum; (2) the purpose and function of the school library; (3) administration, organization and finance; (4) staff: duties, status and qualifications; (5) stock: books and other materials and (6) school library accommodation.
