This is one of a series of studies on the training, recruitment, and utilization of teachers in member countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. This document deals with Denmark, Italy, and Luxembourg. The section on Denmark (217 pages) has chapters on the Danish educational system; the Folkeskole, the Gymnasium, and the demand for and supply of teachers; the existing teacher force; the expected development of the Folkeskole; the supply of Folkeskole teachers; future requirements of Gymnasium teachers; and further education of teachers.
