The Feasibility of a System for the Exchange of Information about Locally Produced Instructional Materials Between Industrial Arts Programs in Higher Education.
O'Neill, John Nicholas
This research studies the possibility of increasing an exchange of information among college programs of industrial arts and industrial technology. A total of 213 administrators of teacher education programs in industrial arts were surveyed by mailed questionnaires to determine their ability and willingness to exchange instructional materials with their counterparts in other similar programs. Five criteria were established to measure the feasibility of any proposed element of an information system which might evolve from the survey. Results of the survey indicated that an information system which could meet the criteria was feasible. Eighteen recommendations were made regarding the developing of a system to increase exchange of information regarding locally produced instructional materials. (MU)
