This directory presents a comprehensive report on the educational theatre in the U.S. More than 60,000 data are given which describe this field as it is represented in 1,581 regionally accredited U.S. colleges and universities. The culmination of more than 18 months' work by the AETA College Curriculum Project, the book's purpose is to furnish adequate data for further study of the nation's educational theatre. Each of the data presented is directly supported by source materials solicited: questionnaire replies, college catalogues and announcements, correspondence, and material previously collected in the 1960 edition of the directory. Surveys for this volume were conducted during 1966. Requests for information had a 96.4% response. This second edition presents a richer source of information in a slightly different format. Two-line entries are used for each institution in order to include more information and to make the information easier to use. The book is divided into three sections, as follows: Section 1, Undergraduate Theatre Programs; Section 2, Graduate Theatre Programs; and Section 3, Statistical Summaries and Reference Materials.
