Using Broadcasts: BBC Radio & Television. A Guide for Tutors of Adult Groups.
Rogers, Jennifer
This pamphlet is about using broadcasting to teach adults. It assumes one is about to become group leader or tutor to adults whose learning is to be based on a television or radio series. The pamphlet does not assume any extensive teaching experience, nor does it try to lay down the law on the "best" teaching methods. It does try to offer some help and information so that a prospective group leader can decide which way of teaching and learning would be most suitable. This pamphlet is divided into three parts. Part I summarizes some of the main facts known about how adults learn and how they react as students. Part II explains how to prepare for and follow up broadcasts by using discussion, interviews, role-playing and projects. Part III is about equipment, making recordings, and getting more information.
