This review examines documents on the mass media relating to adult education as a whole, particularly as it is involved in the process of the social upgrading of the individual necessitated by the development and needs of present-day society; to rural education, i.e., in the economic and social development of people in rural regions, and to special projects in higher technical education such as in Poland, in the Open University of the United Kingdom, and in family planning. Most of the 41 references are from 1968 to 1971. (Author)
