GRADES OR AGES: Grades 1-12. SUBJECT MATTER: Family life and health. ORGANIZATION AND PHYSICAL APPEARANCE: The guide is divided into six sections: 1) early childhood, 2) middle childhood, 3) late childhood, 4) early adolescent, 5) middle adolescent, 6) late adolescent. Each part is laid out in two columns; column headings are content and activities. The guide is mimeographed and spiral bound with a paper cover. OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES: General objectives are listed for each level. Activities in each section are correlated with specific concepts. A variety of activities--including discussions, projects, field trips, films, and reading--is presented at each level, with the curriculum progressing from health education in the elementary grades to preparation for marriage in grades 11 and 12. The emphasis is on interpersonal relationships, rather than biological facts. INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Most sections contain vocabulary lists and bibliographies of print and audiovisual materials. The sections on early and middle adolescence also contain a list of community resources. Materials needed for a specific activity are listed in the activity description.
