School Building Survey: Homer Central School District, Homer, New York.
Engelhardt and Engelhardt, Inc., Purdy Station, NY.
This survey takes into consideration population growth, past enrollments, and resident live births in its projection of school district building needs. The existing facilities -- two elementary schools, an intermediate school, and a junior-senior high school -- are examined and the functional capacity of each building determined. Recommendations are made for (1) reorganizing usage and the remodeling of existing school buildings, and (2) site acquisition and construction of a new building to house 1,000 students. Costs of the suggested remodeling and the new construction are roughly estimated. The amounts of State aid and local taxation necessary to complete the project are estimated, and a timetable for action is proposed. Tables, charts, maps, and floor plans accompany the text. (MLF)
