Salaries and Income of Certified Engineering Technicians.
Engineers Joint Council, New York, NY. Engineering Manpower Commission.
This report is the result of a survey conducted by the American Society of Certified Engineering Technicians (ASCET), and is based on the responses to a questionnaire by 5204 members. Data are presented in the form of maturity curves and statistical tables. A maturity curve on which salary appears as a function of age is included for each of these categories of technicians: all employers, manufacturing and utilities, engineering services, federal government, junior technicians--all employers, technicians--all employers, and senior technicians--all employers. The first two tables of eight statistical tables give the distribution of the survey respondents according to certification and level of education, and by job function. The third table shows the average age of technicians in each level of certification for various industries. The remaining tables show mean annual salary and income according to such factors as education, industry, supervisory status, job function, specialty, and others. (PR)
