The Grammar of Lamani. Summer Institute of Linguistics Publications in Linguistics and Related Fields.
Trail, Ronald L.
This is a tagmemic analysis of Lamini, an Indo-Aryan language spoken by about one million people in Central India. The dialect described in the present study is that spoken in the Gulbarga District of northern Mysore State. An introductory section discusses the Lamini language and explains the tagmemic approach used in the study. The first chapter then describes the phonology of Lamini, followed by descriptions of the Lamini sentence, clause, phrase, word, and stem. A sample text and lexicon are also included. A bibliography and a guide to the tagmemic terms and symbols used in the study conclude the work. (FWB)
