The Recruitment and Training of Graduates.
Rogers, T. G. P.; Williams, Peter
As a result of the 1944 Education Act in Great Britain, many more men and women have been graduating from universities and are now going into the field of industrial management. Companies who pioneered in recruiting graduates were the British progressive 'giants' and British subsidiaries of American companies. This publication is designed to be of value to management and to universities in assisting the transition of students into the world of employment. It covers the recruitment process--preparations of both student and employer, first interviews, and follow up selection processes. Then it covers training of the employee--induction, training programs, and provision for personal development. Special problems of women graduates and of graduates from business schools are covered.
