An Integrated Approach to Teaching Conservation in the High School.

Designed to aid those wishing to integrate conservation education into all high school subjects, suggestions in this curriculum guide may be used as a part of a unit or as an entire unit in each school course. An outline of the philosophy, history, development, and resources of conservation are first presented to serve as a guide for discussions. Within each subject area objectives, topics for study or discussion, and appropriate activities are suggested. Fields of study include geography, history, problems of democracy, economics, English, social studies, art, chemistry, physics, biology, and vocational agriculture. (BL)
